Treasure hunting!

Kitti has gone treasure hunting with the new game that pet society has just released!

treasurehunting

So far Kitti has found 4 on one map, the dinosaur, fish in a jar, monkey, and couch are all on one map, the blue shell is from another map, and the blue hamster and fish wall decor are the new free gifts!

Even though it costs 300 coins for 5 new shovels, I spent over 1000 coins to find these four items. I haven’t decided if it’s worth it yet, because the couch is awesome, but what am I going to do with the huge rock? I have no idea!

The two free shovels you get every day do not add up and carry over to the next day, so you have to use it or loose them.

I love finding new things, so I’ll play till I get bored with it like the racing and cooking has. But for now it’s fun! and I’m enjoying it!

Birthday bash - Delay

Kitti is sick, on her birthday. She has missed Sherman’s party, and is spending the day in bed, with tea, and her lion to keep her company. Kitty is not happy at all.

Kitty having no fun at all:

Kitti hopes to be better before the week is out, so she can celebrate a belated birthday.

Happy 1st Birthday Sherman and Kitti!

Sherman woke up this morning (wearing her blue pjs and bunny slippers) to find Shrody jumping up and down on her.

Sherman woke up, yawned and stretched, and went down to the kitchen to feed Schrody some sushi and make some very special Birthday toast.

Sherman carefully picked out two outfits, one for during the day, and one at night. She was about to spend her birthday on a BOAT with some of her favoritest friends!

This is what she wore in the morning:

Those are Sherman’s favorite shoes, they were Marie Antoinette. That was a new dress for her, and she paired it with her new spike bracelet and her well loved black rose headband that looks classically good with everything.

She took a picture of the whole party:

She had a giant pink cake because pink is her favorite color. The grim reaper and pink zebra and golden teddy bear and Monster all seemed very eager to eat it. The red panda couldn’t wait to start hitting the pinata. The tasmania devil and hamster blended in with the presents just for fun. Mole enjoyed his new clown balloon, probably because he couldn’t see it. Birdie ate chips and salsa and lollipops while the rest enjoyed the beautiful day and fun decorations

At night they moved down beneath the deck where there was a pool and a cupcake bar.

The hamster continued to stuff his face full of delicious cupcakes, while Penguin, Loch Ness Monster, and Seal took a dip in the pool. Death flirted with the white kitty, while the elephant introduced himself to the unicorn.

Sherman was wearing her new LBD and a pearl necklace. It was a quick change from this morning’s outfit, but a bit more elegant.

The party rocked late into the night. Finally Sherman collapsed into bed, very tired, but very happy. It’d been an awesome birthday.

Treehouse

I love the CC treehouse. When those lovely but creepy free trials come along to get some cash coins, you just got to risk everything, that old email address, fake address, just to get some CCs for your pet! I’m currently sitting on 10CCs after the hair dye yesterday, waiting for something awesome to come along, Most of the time though, there’s nothing cheap enough for what I have saved up.

Playfish really needs to come up with a good, even if slow way to get some CCs built up into the game. Because the surveys do not work, at all.

ANYWAYS

Treehouse! Thanks to the lovely forum and the heads up of the lovely free trial that got enough coins to buy this extra room.

treehouse

Here’s my lovely room, bright and airy, for my pet when she wants to chill and knit, with the birdies on the bed and the squirrel in the window, along with the kanteens that have no where else to go in my house… There’s the easel, paint brushes, and paint that took so long to get from the mystery boxes. I love the shelf, holding all things lovely, and the clock that knows the time!

The newest addition to the room is the cute basket with the koala peaking out. :)

I hope you are all excited out the one year birthday extravaganza on Wednesday, I have yet to play with a room, that will come later this week! Yay!

Hair dye

Dyed my first pet wig today!

L gets super excited about dying hair in pets, I have no idea why it’s so exciting, I’m okay for the most part with the colors they give us!

But since blond doesn’t really work on my pet, I wanted to deck out these locks with a bit of pink. Here’s what I came up with! :)

The Beginning of Pets.. for me

According to the lovely diaries in pets L and I both made our pets on June 9th, 2009. Our one year birthday is coming up for both of our pets.

I couldn’t remember when I joined, I thought it was in August, but that was just when I started play, a lot. L started playing before I did, leveled up, figured out the game, long before I did.

Who got us into Pets? Our friend Fea’s roommate Coty. We were in Oregon visiting Fea for a week, and with Coty, we soon become friends! And as all good friends do, we get them addicted to silly games like Pets. I soon after got 10 more people to get a pet, even though they no longer play as regular as L and me, yay friends to visit!

Since that fateful day in June, I have become level 36, logged in 2021 times, grown 2588 plants, recycled 201,860 times, and received 36 out of the 51 trophies including spending 1,175,290 coins in the shops. OH MAN, that’s a lot of coins.

Anyway, we shall soon have a bday party celebrating our one year of being addicted to pets. Plans? Anyone?

OH, I CHALLENGE YOU!…

To a birthday THROWDOWN! We have to make rooms, on June 9th, to celebrate our one year on pets, rooms fit for a birthday party! Including outfits, one picture of the room, pet in the room, and close up of the clothing!

YAY!

Ok done!

Photo time….

Newspaper

Here’s Kitty, enjoying the newspaper and tea in the morning, with her new sunglasses and cat hat of course!

Next Weeks Items. Lamesville.

Well, we hate to start our blog off on a negative note, but this upcoming week’s items are kind of.. bleck. They can be viewed on the pet society website here: http://blog.petsociety.com/2010/06/04/can-you-hear-the-wedding-bells/

K likes the bunny teapot in the purple mystery box. It will make an adorable addition to her teapot collection. She likes teapots in real life too. What? There’s a real life? We’re not too sure about the football stuff since we were not that into sports. L is intereseted in the bouncy soccerball if it actually bounces. The rest are weird doughnuts and too many roses. Maybe wedding would be cute if it wasn’t just roses! Why not have a beach wedding dress, and a fairy tale wedding dress? Instead of a alien blue wedding dress, and a pure pink wedding dress thats acutally more orangy peach. The purple tuxedo is cute though.

We’re not too thrilled with this new car obsession. They’re too expensive when all you can do is sit in them! K had the brilliant idea that we should be able to buy cars and RACE IN THEM! Solves the problem of the cars AND the boring hurdle problem in one go!

The dollhouse mystery egg is a little weird. I think we will have to test it out before having any conclusive opions.

Doughnut dress=YICK! And the wearale doughnuts ring looks like our pets should be handing out flyers for Doughnut World.

We like Hideeni’s flags however! L wants the Australia, Brazil, and American flag (she’s been to Brazil and will soon be going to Australia). K wants the Germany, Brasil, England, and American flag (again places she’s been. Although she’s only been in an airport in England which totally does not count. I call lame-a-duck again).

So, overall, we are not impressed. However, thats ok, that means more coins to buy mystery boxes, and things for Glee competition!

Farewell! -L

Cafe Moneybucks

K and I have had our Cafe phases where we enjoy checking out strange (as in we don’t know them, although often we mean weird as well) pet’s homes like two old ladies pretending they have to go to the bathroom during a yard sale. In the midst of all the sadly decorated houses with washed out blue walls and naught but a TV and a barely clothed pet, occasionally we stumble upon the rich and famous. Often cheaters, always extravagant, occasionally fabulous outfits, generally gaudy, overstuffed rooms (with a penchant for displaying food), most definitely interesting. Even better, sometimes we stumbled upon the dirty and filthy, and with the aid of our faithful-always-there-ever-changing bar of soap, we could make a coin or two buoying up that flagging red bar.

Today Sherman entered the cafe just for kicks. And there.. we had an epiphany! No longer do we need to stumble upon the unwashed masses. Now we can spot them a mile away with large visible flies swirling around them as they try to daintily sip their tea.

The pet in the middle thinks its in style to arrive at brunch sans shower. My dear, poor hygiene is never chic. Those starlets will have you splashed all over the tabloids before you can say “golden poo.”

Meanwhile, we can make a golden coin off the misfortunes of these smelly lambs! At 20 coins a fly, stalking other people has never been so profitable. I may be able to afford this Glee competition after all (see post below)! This is all still a little sketchy though…

Sherman is in the middle (not her most fashionable moment, she’s dressed in honor of her new zoo-themed room). Nakey boy and Hideeni seem to be enjoying themselves too much. Sherman, I say when boys greet you into their house wearing a birthday suit and a space suit, RUN! Also, the wallpaper/carpet combo is hideous, even if it was December.

I hope you all enjoy some extra money and perhaps an adventure or two!

See you later boys! -L

(P.s. I’m trying to develop a tag line. What this one gains in wit is lost in that statistically very few boys shall be reading this..)

Do you accept?

Beach House Room

Sooo since K blogged yesterday or two days ago or whatever about her favorite rooms, I thougt I’d blog about one of my favorite rooms. I couldn’t choose, so I guess I’ll do some of the other ones later.

This is Sherman’s entrance room. It’s a beach house! I looove the ocean, so a lot of the rooms I decorate are based off of that. Plus pets has super cute ocean themes. I did a free offer to be able to get the ocean front window and the beach terrace window. I like how I can put things in the terrace window, but the problem is they all seem really huge then. Like the fishbowl. The fishbowl I bought with K’s money because I visited all her friends one day while she was away, so she said I could buy something, although I don’t think she meant me to buy something so expensive :P Oh well, she always has massive amounts of coins. But I digress, that’s a blog for a different day.

I started decorating this room right before Japan week, so I was super excited for the tatami floor since it added a light, airy look, and matched with the cream wallpaper. The cream wallpaper really makes it look like a beach house. It reminds me of the inn where K and I stayed at when we went to Ocean Grove. The Japanese water yoyos are quirky and fun. The purple owl and the moody kitten are from the win or lose box. SO CUTE. The wind chime and pug are free gifts. On the left is a pile of beach supplies that Sherman left there so she could knit and make origami cranes instead of cleaning up. Bad Sherman.

Fun fact about this room: there is actually a secret door behind the patio so the mail and boxes will come into my entrance room instead of my garden (Sherman has a random, whimsical door in the garden).

I love this room because:

1. It’s beach themed.
2. It has a lot of my favorite cute things (which is why I love pet society.. SO MANY CUTE THINGS!). I think my favoritest are the moody kitten, the owl (me and K have a thing about owls), and the window seat.
3. It is white, which is hard to pull off in pets

K loves this room because:
1. “I love that is looks like a beach”
2. “I like beaches”
3. “And.. I love the part about the beach”
4. “AND I LIKE THE SWAYING THING IN THE DOOR! Cause it looks like there’s a cool beach wind blowing in”
5. “SHOCK!” (? –L)

I generally use the entrance room to display the most recent weeks’ items (although I haven’t updated this one in a while), because this is the room that my visitors are guaranteed to see. I like to keep it changing and updated as much as possible. I’m overdue for a makeover. My favorite entrance rooms I retire elsewhere in the house. Soon I will be moving this one into one of my least favorite rooms and making a new entrance room. Don’t worry, I’ll blog about that process, and more about my decorating theories and strategies (since I am a nerd after all).

So long! -L
